AVEVA™ Process Simulation

Add a VISCQMR data bank to your Fluid Type

When you use the quadratic mixing rule for liquid viscosity (VISCQMR) in your Fluid Type, you can use the controls in the Liquid Viscosity Quadratic Mixing Rule Bank area in the Transport Mixing Rules section of the Fluid Editor to add VISCQMR data banks to your Fluid Type. The Liquid Viscosity Quadratic Mixing Rule Bank area appears only when you select Quadratic Mixing Rule (VISCQMR) in the Liquid Viscosity list.

Currently, AVEVA Thermodynamic Data Manager (TDM) does not include controls to create VISCQMR data banks. However, we provide the System:ELECTRL data bank that contains VISCQMR binary interaction data for select components for electrolytic processes.

If you want to use the quadratic mixing rule for components other than those in the System:ELECTRL data bank, you can provide the binary interaction data as thermodynamic data overrides on the VISCQMR tab in the Method Data section of the Fluid Editor. You can also override any data from the System:ELECTRL data bank on the VISCQMR tab. See Override the binary interaction parameters for the quadratic mixing rule for liquid viscosity (VISCQMR) for more information.

Add the System:ELECTRL data bank to your Fluid Type

  1. In the Fluid Editor, in the Transport Mixing Rules section, in the Liquid Viscosity Quadratic Mixing Rule Bank area, select Expand.

The Selected VISCQMR Banks and Available VISCQMR Banks lists appear along with controls to add, remove, and move data banks in the Selected VISCQMR Banks list.

  2. In the Available VISCQMR Banks list, select System:ELECTRL, and then select Add bank to Selected Banks list .

The System:ELECTRL data bank appears in the Selected VISCQMR Banks list, which lists the data banks that the Fluid Type uses.

  3. (Optional) Select Collapse.

The Liquid Viscosity Quadratic Mixing Rule Bank area collapses to only the Selected VISCQMR Banks list.
