Virus scanner exclusions for AVEVA Process Simulation and AVEVA Real-Time System

The following virus scanner exclusions consist of data files only. Your virus scanners should continue to scan .exe and .dll files for potential threats.

For AVEVA Process Simulation

You should exclude the AVEVA Process Simulation Repository from virus scans. That is, you should add the following folder exclusions to your virus scanner software:

• %LocalAppData%\SimSci\SimCentral\

• %AppData%\SimSci\SimCentral\

For AVEVA Real-Time System

The following file paths assume that you installed AVEVA Real-Time System (RTS) in the C:\SimSci\RtsCore folder (the default installation location for the single-users edition of RTS). You should adjust the file paths to reference the actual installation location for RTS.

You should add the following wild-card file exclusions to your virus scanner software:

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\bin\*.config

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\bin\*.json

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\bin\WebUI\*.config

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\bin\WebUI\*.json

You should add the following folder exclusions for DLL child files and folders to your virus scanner software:

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\logs\

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\sequencerunstate\

• C:\SimSci\RtsCore\sequences\
