Change the type for a flowsheet parameter or flowsheet variable
-
Do one of the following:
-
On the Canvas, right-click a Variable Reference for the flowsheet parameter or the flowsheet variable, and then select Parameter Properties or Variable Properties, respectively.
-
In the Simulation Manager, right-click the flowsheet parameter or the flowsheet variable, and then select Parameter Properties or Variable Properties, respectively.
The properties dialog appears.
-
-
Select the dropdown arrow for the Type list, and then select the desired parameter type or variable type, respectively.
The flowsheet parameter or flowsheet variable updates to use the default unit of measure (UOM) for the selected parameter type or variable type, respectively.
If you haven't changed the value of the flowsheet parameter or flowsheet variable from its original default value, the value also updates to match the default value for the selected parameter type or variable type, respectively. Otherwise, the software converts the original value to the internal UOM for the original parameter type or variable type, and then uses that converted value as the new value for the selected parameter type or variable type. See Internal units of measure for more information.
