Fluids for the A7 example simulation

This example uses two Fluids from the simulation-specific Model Library, P2Fluid and P2FluidVLLE.
Both Fluids use the same components and thermodynamic method and data. The only difference between them is the Phases selection. We use the P2FluidVLLE Fluid in the portions of the simulation that require vapor-liquid-liquid equilibrium (VLLE) calculations, such as in the liquid-liquid extractor column in the MTBE recovery section of the plant. We use the P2Fluid in all other portions of the simulation for simpler, faster thermodynamic calculations.

AVEVA Process Simulation's modified Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRKM) equation of state (EOS) simulates well the VLE and VLLE fractionators. For this EOS, AVEVA Process Simulation contains extensive, built-in databanks that encompass binary interaction parameter data for many component pairs present in this simulation. However, in this example, we directly supply the binary interaction data (kijs) for several component pairs to improve the accuracy of the separations in the columns. The following figures shows the binary interaction parameters that the P2Fluid and P2FluidVLLE Fluids use. Green badges indicate values that come from a databank, and blue badges indicate values that we have locally overridden.
