OptimizationSettings and OptSetA

The OptimizationSettings and OptSetA models now include the FlashInitializeOption parameter so that you can turn off the initialization for the flash calculations during optimization runs. Turning off the flash initialization allows the optimizer to solve faster and more robustly.

You can set the FlashInitializeOption parameter to one of the following values:

• 0 – Suppress all calls for the Flash Initialize method. There are no flash initialization calls during feasible runs or at the end of infeasible runs.

• 1 – Always call the Flash Initialize method during feasible runs and at the end of infeasible runs.

• 2 – Let the software decide when to call the Flash Initialize method.

  The default option is 0 for both the OptimizationSettings and OptSetA models.
