Process |
Fluid Flow |

|---|---|---|
|
Purpose |
Initially size the vacuum transfer line by determining the required diameter for each pipe as you construct the simulation in the direction of flow. |
Rate the vacuum transfer line for a given piping design with a specified size and length and modify the design as needed. |
|
Source |
Specify required flow. Specify pressure. |
Specify required flow. Calculate pressure. |
|
Pipe |
Calculate pipe diameter given a specified pressure drop. Sets the Size parameter accordingly. |
Set inside diameter based on nominal pipe size. Calculate pressure drop and velocity. |
|
Mix |
Set pressure to the minimum inlet pressure. |
Set all inlet and outlet pressures to be the same. |
|
Enlarger |
Calculate pressure drop recovery based on inlet and outlet diameter. |
Calculate pressure drop recovery based on inlet and outlet diameter. |
|
Sink |
Calculate pressure in the vacuum column flash zone from upstream pipes. |
Specify pressure in the vacuum column flash zone. |
