Create or modify a UOM Slate

You can create or modify a units of measure (UOM) Slate and apply it to your simulation.

Create a UOM Slate

1. Open the UOM Manager.

2. Select the Slate dropdown arrow.

3. On the Create Slate submenu, select Repository to save the UOM Slate to the Repository and share it between simulations. Otherwise, select the name of your simulation if you want only your current simulation to use the UOM Slate.

   

   When you create a new UOM Slate, the software automatically saves it, and you can select it from the UOM Slate list on the Start tab. If you installed AVEVA Process Simulation by using roaming profiles, the new UOM Slate is saved in the %AppData%\SimSci\SimCentral\Custom folder. Otherwise, it is saved in the %LocalAppData%\SimSci\SimCentral\Custom folder.

4. Enter a Description for the UOM Slate.

5. If you want to change the display unit of a specific Variable Type, select the associated row in the Display Unit column, and then select a new unit.

   

   AVEVA Process Simulation retains all UOM Slates if you uninstall and reinstall the software.

Modify an existing UOM Slate

6. Open the UOM Manager.

7. Select the Slate dropdown arrow.

8. On the Open Slate submenu, select the UOM Slate.

9. (Optional) Update the Description for the UOM Slate.

10. If you want to change the display unit of a specific Variable Type, select the associated row in the Display Unit column, and then select a new unit.

    

    AVEVA Process Simulation retains all UOM Slates if you uninstall and reinstall the software.
