Audit Trail in Property Grid

  • Last UpdatedFeb 20, 2023
  • 1 minute read

The Audit trail functionality will also track the changes that are being made in the Property Grid. However, because of the way the Property Grid works, saving changes as soon as the user clicks outside of the field or uses the TAB-key, the changes that are made with this screen are stored in a different way than for example the Properties screen.

The Audit trail saves changes as a change when:

  • A field in the Property Grid has also been changed after it has been selected.

  • The field is not the focus anymore, meaning it is not active anymore (i.e. clicking outside of the field itself or pressing the TAB-key)

Note: Changing a value back into the same value will not be regarded a change, even if the field has been active (semantically speaking, there is no actual change)
