ORP files

The Asset Strategy Optimization Report module uses Asset Strategy Optimization. Report files (*.ORP) to export and import reports.

The diagram below provides an overview of the effect of the ORP file during import:

An ORP file contains a collection of objects needed to display the report, including:

• Crystal Report file (*.rpt)

• TTX field definition for report design (*.ttx)

• UserQuery + Fields (for the Asset Strategy Optimization database)

• Stored procedure (instruction containing the UserQuery + fields)

When the *.orp file is imported, the Crystal Report and the TTX file will be placed in the following folders respectively:

• <report module folder>\REPORTS

• <report module folder>\TTX

Where the <report module folder> must be set differently per database environment.

Both the UserQuery + Fields and the Stored procedure will be added to the Asset Strategy Optimization database. For that reason, the report must be deleted using the Report Management window. If you delete the report using the Windows Explorer, the references to the database will remain.

Note: If a report is deleted using Windows Explorer, the references in the database to the now deleted report will remain!
