  • OBJECTS EXPLAINED: The steps below will provide a hands-on step by step guide to creating your own structure. Meanwhile you will touch on the various objects that you can create. If you prefer a more theoretical approach, or if you have no user rights to create your own asset tree, then you may find a full explanation of the objects in the asset tree in chapter Objects in Asset Strategy Optimization.

  • THEORY: If you first want to learn more about the theory of FMECA then read the chapter Develop a maintenance strategy.

  • NAVIGATION: If you jumped straight into this chapter, you may first be interested in learning more about Navigation in Asset Strategy Optimization.

  • IMPORTING A STRUCTURE: Instead of creating an initial asset hierarchy from scratch, you may prefer to start by importing an existing asset hierarchy. In that case, jump to Import an asset structure.
