Based on the Views created with the FlexGrid - Designer screen, the user can create very personalized reports using the add-in module XtraReports. This module copies the basic settings from the View, resulting in a convenient starting point for creating a tailor made report.
Remark: The Report designer only accepts Horizontal and Vertical views!
To design a report using this module, follow these main steps:

First design a View using the FlexGrid Designer, including only the columns that should be incorporated in the report. Preferably, all columns already have the required width and order.

Start the Report Designer

The Report Designer will show a basic design, based on the View created in the FlexGrid Designer

Adjust the size of the report

Enhance the initial design, by adding 'bands', e.g. a report header, a group header, and a report footer.

Enhance the band called 'Details' containing the database fields from the View, by changing the format, font type, colors etc.

Optionally, add 'Unbound columns': these are information placeholders that are independent of database fields; they may contain formulas, static values, or combinations of formulas and database fields

Preview the results so far at any moment using the Preview button of the report

Save the report explicitly using the Save button. This will link the report design to the View

Print the rapport, or save it as a pdf- or html-file

Optionally make a backup of the report using the Save-as function (save the report locally)
Comprehensive Manual
The report module built into Asset Strategy Optimization is based on a third-party product called XtraReports. Discussing all functionality of this extensive product is outside the scope of this help file. A comprehensive manual about this product is offered by its makers: Devexpress.
