Convert into other object

After creating and describing a new object, it may become apparent that in retrospect another type of object would have been better. To save the user from having to start over for that object, Asset Strategy Optimization supports converting the object into another object. All relevant data will be adopted in the process.

To convert an object into another, proceed as follows:

1. Right click the object that needs to be converted.

2. In the context menu, select option 'Convert to'.

3. Choose the desired type to convert to.

   The object will instantly be converted into its new form

   Mutual conversion is supported for the following object types:

   

   Important: All data that were entered in the original object and were not relevant to adopt in the converted object will be retained in Asset Strategy Optimization. Should the user wish to revert to the original object type, then all original data will still be present. This behavior works both ways, so even moving back to the converted object will show the data entered for that type.
