FlexGrid enables a very flexible way to create access to data in the FMECA tree and the FM Library, by first designing a user-specific view, then accessing that view to manage the data efficiently. Views can also be used as a starting point to create reports. Access to Views is managed using permissions
.
Here is a list showing the a number of practical applications of the FlexGrid:
-
Fast data entry from one view
-
Quick data overview of entered data, useful for quality assurance
-
Extensive filtering options (compare with Excel)
-
Mass mutation of different data
-
Values can be changed right in the view
-
Starting point for creating reports
The user first defines the scope, by selecting an object in either the FMECA tree or the FM Library. Then, the FlexGrid can be invoked by using the button in the menu bar, which offers two options:
Views

Opens the views screen, containing all views that were defined using the Designer. A view gives a specific, user-defined, view on the data, and allows the user to manage the data from that view.
Designer

Create new views or edit existing views using the Designer, or use a view to create a flexible report.
