Reports - adding Sum fields

Besides placing fields from the TTX file, you can also add sum fields. These fields are built-in functions that can perform calculations on other fields. Some examples of sum fields:

The total value of a field,  the average of a field  or the maximum value of a field.

 If a sum field is placed in the header of the group, it will give the total of the values of the field in this group, for instance. If a summation field is placed in the report header, it will give the total of all values of the field in all groups, for instance.

Some functional examples of summation fields:

• Summation fields can be used to display totals or averages of the costs of maintenance actions.

• Displaying the most frequently occurring failure cause in the report

• Counting, for instance the number of maintenance actions in a group
