FIELD
DESCRIPTION
Name
Here the user can freely choose a name for the object. A logical name would be the name the object has in real-life.
Description
A description of the FMECA System may be provided here (optional). If entered, this description will also be visible in the tree structure.
Objects related to an FMECA System
After defining an FMECA System object, the user can create the following object types as a child object:
-
Serial System
-
Redundant System
-
Part
Note: Alternatively, the user can copy an existing hierarchy of objects, and if the top element of that hierarchy is one of the types above, paste it as a new structure under the newly created FMECA System.
Subsystems of the serial system
Systems can be decomposed into subsystems to better handle its complexity and enable a better resemblance of the real-life situation.
Creating a serial system
Creating a serial system is similar to the steps in Create an FMECA system.
