FMECA-level settings

The Extra lookup lists that become available when choosing the option 'Show Specific Tabs' (Extra > Options > Module settings > tab Custom Options), count for all FMECA Systems that are created in Asset Strategy Optimization , unless a specific exception is made. If it is desired to specify different fields to certain FMECA Systems, then this can be indicated in the FMECA System using the option 'FMECA-level settings'.

As the name indicates, these values can only be defined in the FMECA Systems screen. The FM Library does not use these settings, while the simulation models use the settings of the related FMECA system.

For any FMECA System, one can switch between the application wide dataset or a specific FMECA-level dataset. This has a different impact on the various tabs: cost categories, look up lists and employee type.

The general steps to switch to FMECA-level settings are as follows:

  1. Right click a FMECA System on the left side of the FMECA System screen.

  2. In the context menu select 'FMECA-level settings'.

  3. Set a check box for the option FMECA-level settings.

  4. Read and confirm the optional warning.

  5. You can now add and edit the values in this tab.

  6. Each of the three categories for which values can be defined, has its own requirements:
