The Dashboard, when enabled, provides instant insight in the status of your FMECA project. The Dashboard is based on a set of predefined KPIs, which give status information in a graphical way about the scope of the FMECA tree chosen by the end user.
Often, FMECAs are performed on a certain scope in the FMECA tree, which extend a certain time period. During this period, the completeness and quality of the FMECA is continuously growing. The KPIs in the Dashboard help to control the process of completing the FMECA.
There are three main steps in setting up the Dashboard in a multi-user configuration:
-
Sysadmin: loads the default KPI widgets into Asset Strategy Optimization. More custom-made KPIs can be added on request
-
Dashboard designer: The dashboard designer is a power-user of Asset Strategy Optimization with special rights to choose from the available widgets and position them in their default appearance on the Dashboard
-
End User: the end user may display the Dashboard after selecting a scope. The Dashboard will display in its default appearance as set up by the Dashboard designer. The user may change this default layout. As long as Asset Strategy Optimization is running, it will remember the end user settings. Next time the end user starts Asset Strategy Optimization and shows the Dashboard, it will reappear in the default layout as defined by the Dashboard designer.
The Dashboard is a window just as any other window in Asset Strategy Optimization, and can be minimized, moved and closed. The following topics discuss the three steps described above and features of the Dashboard.
