By means of the Report module you can use user reports. Unlike default reports, user reports have to be imported or linked.
For this purpose, a report module folder must be set for each database. The files needed from imported reports are placed in this specified folder. You only have to set up the Report module folder once. After that you can import the desired reports. Read more about setting up the Report module folder.
Multiple environments
When a report is imported, data is written to the database. As Asset Strategy Optimization is designed to be used with only one database, the changes will only be carried out in the current database only. (Whereby the database reference from the standard.udl file is used to identify the current database.)
If you use Asset Strategy Optimization with multiple databases, you will have to import the reports into each environment. To avoid overwriting reports in one Asset Strategy Optimization database by using reports from another Asset Strategy Optimization database, you must set a Report module folder for each database.
From a management perspective this provides you with clear insight into the reports that exist in each environment.
Manage reports module
You can use the Report Management window to obtain a report about all user queries and reports included that come under the Report module. Management of the Report module comprises the following parts:
-
You can use this window to obtain a report on the user queries. The Query Management window can also be used to add or modify queries.
-
You can use this window to obtain a report on the imported reports. The Report Management window can also be used to import and modify reports.
