Top 10 Maintenance Costs Report

  • Last UpdatedAug 18, 2025
  • 3 minute read

This report shows the 10 maintenance actions that have resulted in the most costs. Next to the Costs column is a percentage which is the proportion of the costs represented by this maintenance action in relation to total maintenance costs. So if there is a percentage of 25%, for example, next to a maintenance action, this means that this maintenance action accounts for 25% of the total costs. The total costs are not the total costs that can be see at the bottom of the report. These are the totals of the top 10.

To print this simulation report, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the module Simulation

  2. Select a simulation on the left

  3. Right click the model on the right

  4. In the context menu, select the desired report:

A report similar to the one below will appear after some time:

Diagram

The total maintenance costs of an FBM action from the Top 10 Maintenance costs in the simulated period can be read from the diagram.

In this example it can be seen that the failure relating to the 'paste inner  tire' FBM action after a flat tire as a result of a sharp object costs a total of approximately € 1000.

Overview

The following fields are used in the report:

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Location

The location indicates where failure occurs.

Part Tag

Internal number or code can may have been assigned to the Part

Description

Description of the field (free text)

Strategy

Type of maintenance used to mitigate the failure

Quantity

Number of times the failure occurs during the simulation period

Duration

Duration is total maintenance time, as indicated in the FBM screen, for all FBM actions, so Quantity x Maintenance time per FBM action

Costs

Total costs for all FBM actions together, so

Quantity x Costs per FBM-action.

% of Total

% of total is the percentage of specific failure of the total number of failures occurring during the simulation  period.

Remark: If an object is selected on a level which is too low, the report function will not be available (greyed out)
