PM strategy

The PM strategy is used to calculate the next occurrence of a preventive maintenance action.
At this moment the PM strategy is only honoured if the maintenance action itself does not cause any repair or a replacement to the parent asset. Hence it does not do anything for a UBM action which in itself always causes a repair or replacement of the parent asset to happen.
Below you will find a visual representation of the difference between ‘Keep planning’ and ‘Suspend planning’ for an action with an interval of 23 weeks.

Note: As soon as any kind of repair or replacement is done to the parent asset related to a preventive action (either as a result of a follow up or by another action), the asset will then be considered to be ‘as good as new’, so all new failures will be suspended/recalculated and all preventive actions will be re-planned taking the First time parameter into account.
