After deploying widgets for the dashboard, the way the widgets are displayed within the dashboard needs to be designed. This is usually performed by a user with the Dashboard designer role. Once designed, this will be how the Dashboard displays to all users by default.
Note: If you are upgrading to a new version then you may already have the dashboards configured and you can skip this step.
To design the dashboard widgets
-
Start Asset Strategy Optimization.
-
In the FMECA screen, open a folder on the left and choose a FMECA system.
-
In the middle part of the screen, choose the displayed model as example scope for the Dashboard; the Dashboard icon will now show up in colour in the menu.
-
Open the Dashboard function by clicking the Dashboard icon in the menu bar. This will cause all the widgets in the Pick-up folder to be installed automatically.
-
The dashboard is a 3x3 matrix. By clicking the dashboard names in the right part of the screen they will be placed on the dashboard. All widgets that you click will be placed on the left-top of the dashboard. You can drag them to the location you want to have them.
Note: After successful installation of the widget, the widget zip-files in the Pick-up folder are renamed to .bak. The contents of the zip-files are extracted to the Deployment-folder and will be overwritten each time the Dashboard designer changes the Dashboard design.
