FBM (Failure Based Maintenance)

  • Last UpdatedMar 05, 2024
  • 1 minute read

FBM is short for Failure-Based Maintenance, which is done in response to the failure of a component. Depending on the exact cause of a failure event, the proper maintenance action is triggered and executed. FBM maintenance may be added to a failure cause in the FM library and in FMECA systems. The parameters of the FBM maintenance action determine how maintenance is to be done.
