Mass mutations allow you to modify the time unit of an object Mass mutation.
To mass mutate the time unit without the value itself, perform the following steps:
-
In the Mass Mutation window, enter the value +0
-
Then the desired time unit
The value of the objects found will remain the same, but their time unit will be changed to entered value.

Example:
-
An MTTF is set at 1 year.
-
Mass mutation is used to specify + 0 Months. (absolute)
-
Final result: MTTF: 12 months
Note: This value won't work if the final result represents an unacceptably small number.
Example of unacceptably small number
-
MTTR is set at 1 hour
-
Mass mutation is used to specify +0 Months (absolute)
-
When you open the maintenance action, the repair time will still be 1 hour. This is because 1 hour expressed in months (1/730) gives a number that is too small to display.
