Adding components and their failure causes and failure conditions

When for all parts the underlying components have been added to the tree, thus completing the decomposition, we can also define the failure behavior of the various components. This includes the failure causes and the MTTF (Mean Time To Failure). Many components have more failure causes that may cause a part’s function to fail. In Asset Strategy Optimization, we can simply link failure causes to failure modes, thus indicating how a failure cause of a component will affect a particular failure mode of a part.
How to add failure modes is explained in topic Failure modes.
