Stock Candidates Report

  • Last UpdatedAug 19, 2025
  • 2 minute read

The Stock Candidates report indicates which spare parts qualify for putting into stock. If stocking these objects means a shorter response time, the downtime of the part or subsystem in question will decrease. You can filter on critical failures, maintenance actions and maintenance type.

Open this screen as follows:

  1. Open the FMECA Systems screen

  2. Select a (sub)system or a part

  3. Choose Stock management > Stock analysis > Stock candidates in the menu

You will now be requested to set the filter:

On the left side of the filter settings window you can choose to display only replacement or repair actions. If you want both, click "All actions". On the right side of the window you can choose just corrective or preventive actions. Similarly, you can select "All types" to display all types of actions.

The option "Only critical failure causes (by downtime)" is selected by default. However, if you want to see all failures (whether they are critical or not), you can leave this option open.

Click OK to display the Stock Candidates report.

The Stock Candidates report shows the following for every part:

  • Failures with respect to replacement or repair of the part

  • Failures with respect to replacement or repair of the subordinate components

Note: If you did not put a check-mark next to "Downtime in Risk Analysis Calculation" in the business objectives, no components and/or parts will appear if the filter has been set to "Only critical failure causes (by downtime)". Read more about setting the downtime in the risk analysis calculation for the business objective.
