The base package of Asset Strategy Optimization comes with several predefined reports. These reports are available instantly, after the software installation. The reports are designed according to a default layout, and can be invoked at system, subsystem, or part level. Read more about the default overview reports, in the section Reports under Working with Asset Strategy Optimization.
Besides these base reports, Asset Strategy Optimization contains a report module. This module offers more functionality based on reports; through use of the custom user reports concept. Custom user reports can be added (and deleted) by the user without external intervention. These reports can be modified. Modifications may include layout changes, or content changes; such as adding additional data columns to the report data set.
The following sections detail working with the report module:
Report module environment
This describes how you can set up the Report module and what you exactly need to do it. The management windows used to control the Report module are also explained.
Report modifications
If you are familiar with the Report module, the instructions here show how to modify reports. Some of these instructions concern adding and deleting fields in the Crystal Report.
Appendix
The Report module documentation includes a few appendices. These are reference guides for adding data to reports.
