Besides the possibility to save minimum FMECA data it is possible to save extra information for certain types of assets. In the properties dialog for serial- and parallel systems, parts, components, fail causes and maintenance, a tab page named 'Info' for additional information can be found. In the tab page you can save Stock information, modifications, comments, motivation and a hyper link to documents for that specific asset.

Note: This tab will only become available when it has been activated in the Options screen

In the field Link a hyperlink can be entered. There are two ways to do this:

 (manual entry) Directly type in a hyperlink, including http:// (of its variations).

 (dialog entry) Open the dialog screen with the button ab| and select an object; the hyperlink will be automatically filled into the Link field.

Tip: In the fields Comment and Motivation, hyperlinks are automatically recognized. When clicked, the corresponding webpage will automatically open in the default browser. A www link must start with http://. Besides http:// hyperlinks, you may also use https, ftp, ftps en file links.

Important: Fields from the Info tab are not included when the object is copied or exported.
