In Asset Strategy Optimization you can copy data between systems. However, this causes problems if you are using a set of FMECA level data that copies or imports data to another FMECA system.

The diagram below shows which data can and cannot be included in copy and import/export actions:

As shown in the above diagram, FMECA-level settings cannot be included if you copy to an FMECA system with a different set. If you still want to use this data, you have to use the mapping functionality. The mapping functionality is part of the export/import functionality. For more information, see the topic Export and Import functionality.

For that reason, users of Asset Strategy Optimization are advised to use the import/export functionality. During mapping you can specify which value from the original set corresponds with values from the new set. This way, you can retain the FMECA level values in a copy of the object in a different FMECA system. For more information on mapping, see the topic Understand the mapping during import.
