Two subjects are discussed here:

  • comparing scenarios

  • summing up scenarios

Comparing results

The results of different scenarios of the same sub-system or part can be compared. Select at least two scenarios in the FMECA Systems screen. Right click the selected scenarios and choose Compare scenarios in the context menu. Choose one of the options Totals or Down Time to start the comparison in that way. The Totals view presents for each scenario the total maintenance duration, the totals of all actions and the total costs. In the Down Time report, per scenario, the course of the downtime is presented.

Example of Totals

The Environmental Impact (CO2e) report appears only if you have enabled the Environmental Impact in System Options and have defined the Impact categories. To know more about it, see the topic Environmental impact.

Active scenarios

Per (sub) system or part only one scenario can be Active.

Note: Only scenarios with a simulation result can be made active.

If for two or more (sub)systems or parts the scenarios are compared, you can decide which scenario is the best scenario for your company. Then it is time to activate that scenario. This means that when results for a complete FMECA system are joined the scenario for this specific (sub)system or part is used. To activate the scenario, you select it and then right click the mouse on that scenario. From the context menu you can select Activate/Deactivate. In the list of scenarios the active scenario will be marked with an 'A'.

Activating or deactivating scenarios

Aggregating scenarios

The results of a (sub)system are calculated by aggregating all underlying activated scenarios. A report of these totals may be shown as follows:

  1. Select in the FMECA Systems screen the (sub)system that you wish to aggregate

  2. Click the right mouse button and select 'Aggregate scenarios' followed by the report you would like to see. You can choose from two reports: Costs or Downtime:
