AVEVA ™ Asset Strategy Optimization

Adding FBM actions (repair duration and costs)

After entering the failure cause and failure mode as part of step 4, this step is not complete until the repair duration and other costs have been defined. The repair duration is generally based on the way corrective maintenance is carried out. Therefore, for each failure cause, a corrective (FBM (Failure Based Maintenance)) action will be added. Asset Strategy Optimization also allows for adding preventive maintenance actions, the so called CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) and UBM actions. These will be added to prevent the failure from happening.

Without an FBM action, Asset Strategy Optimization will not show the failure mode in the risk matrix. The risk matrix is explained in detail in the topic Risk matrix.

FBM stands for Failure Based Maintenance, CBM means Conditions Based Maintenance, and UBM means Use Based Maintenance.
