Properties of Maintenance - CBM Preventive
The object Maintenance contains properties that can be edited by the user. Double-clicking the object will open the Properties screen of that object. (Alternatively, the Property Grid can be used to directly edit the data there).

Properties of Maintenance - tab Preventive (example CBM)
During the failure behavior entry a MTTF is defined. This includes defining a relationship with a quantity which is measured during an inspection. This relationship is required to define the inspection times and to decide whether following an inspection preventive maintenance actions must be planned. In Asset Strategy Optimization this relation is expressed using the MTTCC (Mean Time to Critical Condition) or lead time.
In Asset Strategy Optimization, there is a mathematical relationship between the lead time and MTTF. Between MTTCC and MTTF, this mathematical relationship does not exist. Hence, this does not automatically mean that MTTCC + Lead time = MTTF.

If the CBM is linked to a CLM it is specified in here. Next to the field there is a short-cut to highlight the CLM in the FMECA form. |

Here, Indicate the probability that, during an inspection, function degradation can be overlooked. For example, an oil analysis is not carried out properly, leaving wear to a gearbox unnoticed. This means that erroneously no follow-up action is planned. When this happens and subsequently no new proper inspection takes place before the next failure moment, then failure will be initiated. |
|
First inspection |
In Asset Strategy Optimization, for the maintenance strategy CBM it can be defined that the first inspection will take place from a certain time. For example, it is possible to define a CBM action that will be carried out for the first time 5 years following installation, with a frequency of 2 years. This means that instead of inspections in years 2, 4, 6 and so on, the actual inspections will take place in years 5, 7, 9, and so on. This option can be used best in situations where the failure behavior of a part is known, while there is some certainty about a first period without failure. |
