AVEVA ™ Asset Strategy Optimization

Configure the Windows App

The Windows App component is configured to use the AVEVA Asset Strategy Optimization desktop or on-premises application.

  1. Select the Windows App node in the Configurator.

    The DB Connection and Authentication tabs appear.

  2. In the DB Connection tab, provide the following information:

    1. Environment: This option appears only if you have multiple tenants in your environment. Select your AVEVA Asset Strategy Optimization Environment from the list.

    2. Connection: Enter the SQL Server that you wish to connect.

    3. Select the required type of authentication:

      • Use Windows Authentication: For this authentication, it will automatically pick the current Windows credentials to sign in.

      • Use SQL Server Authentication: For this authentication, provide the Login Name and Password to access the server.

    4. Database: Select the database that you want to connect.

    5. Timeout in sec: Specify the time to establish the connection with the database. Beyond this specified time, the configuration will fail.

  3. Select the Authentication tab and provide the following information:

    1. AIM Server: Enter the AIM Server machine details. Depending upon your selection in step 2 of the Configure the System Management Server, the existing system or the local system name appears by default.

    2. Login Timeout (in sec): Provide a time after which the login page of the application times out.

  4. Select Configure.

    The Windows App is configured. If you wish to modify the configuration at a later point of time, you can modify them and select the Configure button again to persist your changes.
