After installing and configuring the software, we need to save the license information in the registry. To do so, Asset Strategy Optimization needs to be run once with Administrator privileges.
To run Asset Strategy Optimization once with administrative privileges:
-
In Windows Explorer browse to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Asset Strategy Optimization folder.
-
Right click the Application Asset Strategy Optimization.exe.
-
Choose Run as administrator

Note: Administrative privileges are required to save license information in the registry. This allows the software to share the license between the desktop application and the web application. Later when you start the software, you do not require administrative permissions.
From now on, users can start Asset Strategy Optimization normally using its icon on the Desktop or the Windows Start menu.
For multi-user installations the license will already be configured so you can skip to the next step, but for single-use installations you will now be asked to enter a license key.
To install the license key in case of a single-use installation

-
Provide the Registration ID via email to AVEVA Strategy Optimization Support.
-
Leave the Product Registration ID open until you receive the License key back from Support.
-
Paste the license key you received in the License Key field and press OK.
