Maintenance is the last step in the tree structure in -Asset Strategy Optimization and is dependent on the failure cause. Maintenance is the object in which it is possible to configure how the failure of a component should be repaired. In the event of P.M. (Preventive Maintenance), the way in which prevention is achieved is configured. At least one FBM maintenance action is dependent on each failure cause.

There are five different strategies for configuring maintenance in Asset Strategy Optimization.

These are:

FBM:

Failure-based maintenance. (corrective)

UBM

Use-based maintenance. (preventive)

CBM

Condition-based maintenance. (preventive)

CBM Follow-up

Condition-based maintenance follow-up. (preventive)

CLM

Composition of maintenance actions. (preventive)

The figure above shows the position of maintenance within the structure. FBM, UBM and CBM maintenance may be dependent on the failure cause. Maintenance that is dependent on the part always adopts the UBM strategy or relates to a CLM.

From a Failure Cause the following maintenance actions can be created:

From a Part the following maintenance cations can be created: UBM Action and CLM:
