Downtime By Period Report

  • Last UpdatedJun 05, 2024
  • 2 minute read

The "Downtime per period" report shows the downtime a system. If more than one components are present in the system, then downtime is broken down by component. In that case each component is displayed a separate graph plotting the simulation period against downtime. This list also shows the totals of the total availability percentage, the number of maintenance actions, and the downtime.

To print this simulation report, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the module Simulation

  2. Select a simulation on the left

  3. Right click the model on the right

  4. In the context menu, select the desired report:

    Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)

  5. A report similar to the one below will appear after some time:

    Report Downtime per Period

Remark.: If an object is selected on a level which is too low, the report function will not be available (greyed out)

The rest of the report pages show the maintenance actions per period that caused downtime during the specific period together with data that are explained in detail below.

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

 Quantity

Number of times the failure occurred

 Duration

Duration of failure:

  • MTBF: Mean Time Between Failure
MTBF = simulation time window / number of failures on this level of the simulation time window

  • MTBM:Mean Time Between Maintenance
MTBM = simulation time window / number of maintenance actions on this level of the simulation time window

  • MTTR: Mean Time To Repair
MTTR = Downtime caused by corrective maintenance / number of corrective maintenance actions on this level of the simulation time window

  • MTTPM: Mean Time To Preventive Maintenance
MTTPM = Downtime caused by preventive maintenance / number of preventive maintenance actions on this level of the simulation time window. At the end of each period the totals for that period are presented
