Configure the System Management Server

  1. In the Configurator application, select the System Management Server node.

  2. Select any of the following options:

    • Connect to an existing System Management Server: Select this option if you want to connect to an existing AIM server where the PCS is installed and System Management Server is configured.

    • This machine is the System Management Server: Select this option if you want to use local system as the AIM server.

  3. Select Advanced.

    The Advanced Configuration dialog appears.

  4. To use a self-signed certificate, select Automatically Generated as the Certificate Source and proceed to step 12.

  5. To use your own certificate, select Provided by IT (import / select) as the Certificate Source.

  6. If you already have a valid certificate installed on your web server, select your Certificate from the list and proceed to step 12.

  7. To install your organization's certificate on your web server, select Import.

    The Import Certificate dialog appears.

  8. Select "..." and select your certificate (.pfx) file.

  9. In the Certificate Store, select Root.

  10. Enter the certificate's Password and select OK.

  11. Select your Certificate from the list.

  12. In the Ports tab, enter the HTTPS Port to use or accept the default values.

  13. In the Authentication tab, depending on your requirement, select any one of the following options:

    • If you want the authentication window to appear as a pop-up dialog to enter the credentials, then select ‘Select to authenticate using embedded browser using pop-up dialog’.

    • If you want the authentication window to appear on the browser, then select 'Select to authenticate using your default browser'.

  14. In the AVEVA Identity Manager tab, you can control the behavior of AVEVA Identity Manager using the following two parameters. Depending on your requirement, select any one of the following options.

    • Maintain user login when closing the browser without logging out.

    • Hide Windows Integrated login button from the Identity Manager login page

      By default, the two parameters are enabled in Connected Experience and disabled in non-Connected Experience.

  15. Select OK to close the Advanced Configuration dialog.

  16. Select Configure.

    A warning message appears.

  17. Select Yes.
