It is possible to edit the information associated with a crude in your data share using CrudeSync. To edit the selected crude's information select one of the edit options from the CrudeSync Editing group of the Enterprise ribbon tab, or use the database view's context menu. It is possible to edit the following information:
-
Edit Name: The crude's name appears in the Name field of the database view for all users of the data share.
-
Edit Reference: The crude's reference appears in the Reference field of the database view for all users of the data share. Each crude must have a unique reference.
-
Edit Recommended: Each crude can have a recommended status to show whether or not your organisation recommends the crude for a particular use. A crude is either recommended or it is not recommended.
-
Edit Information: Each crude has additional information associated with it, stored in a number of information fields. Some information is contained by default in each assay, but it is also possible to add information useful to your organisation. See Editing Information Fields.

For each type of data you choose to edit, you are presented with a dialog box with the relevant fields, such as the one shown in the previous image. There is a CrudeSync Comment field where you can enter a comment about your update, for the benefit of other users of the crude.
Click Refresh to erase your changes and restore the original data of the published crude. Click Update (or Apply for the Edit Information dialog) to publish your changes. Click Close to dismiss the dialog box without making any changes.
