Viscosity graph toolbar

A range of options are provided on the Viscosity Graph Toolbar for navigating around the graph, editing crudes, and viewing data on the graph. The following options are always available:

  • Icon toggle tracking on viscosity graph. Shows cross hairs next to a box: Enable the Lookup mode. See Lookup Mode below.

  • Icon Graph Information. Shows a spreadsheet: Show the graph information dialog. See Graph Information Dialog.

The following options are available only when using a Document that supports editing of crude descriptions. See Document pages:

  • Icon Enable/Disable measurement activity. Shows V-bar with green check mark and red X.: Enable or disable measurement activity mode on the Viscosity Graph.

The following options are always available:

  • Icon toggle viscosity measurements. Shows graph with six small zig zags: Toggle the visibility of measurements on the Viscosity Graph. See Viscosity Measurements in Viscosity graph content.

  • Icon toggle viscosity measurement precision. Shows H-bars on graph: Toggle the visibility of measurement precisions on the Viscosity Graph. See Measurement Precisions in Viscosity graph content.

  • Icon toggle generated profile curves on viscosity graph. Shows graph with three declining graph lines: Toggle the visibility of generated profiles on the Viscosity Graph. See Generated Viscosity Profiles in Viscosity graph content.

  • Icon toggle interpolated profile curves on viscosity graph. Shows three dotted declining lines on graph: Toggle the visibility of interpolated profiles on the Viscosity Graph. See Interpolated Viscosity Profiles in Viscosity graph content.

Lookup Mode

Lookup mode on the viscosity graph

When Lookup mode is active, hovering over any point of the graph will look up the value of viscosity on the Y-axis When Lookup mode is active, hovering over any point at the temperature determined by the position of the cursor on the X-axis, and display the result in a tooltip. When hovering over a measurement, the tooltip associated with the measurement is displayed. See Viscosity Graph Tooltips in Viscosity graph content.

Graph Information Dialog

Graph Information Dialog

The Viscosity Graph information dialog is a a separate floating dialog that allows you to see, for all cuts of a crude,

  • The names and initial and final boiling points of cuts.

  • The viscosity slope of cuts.

  • Measured viscosity values for cuts. Measured values are shown in bold in the information dialog. Active measurements are coloured black; inactive measurements are coloured grey.

  • Generated viscosity values for cuts. Generated viscosity measurements are shown in normal font in the information dialog.

To launch the graph information dialog, you can:

  • Press the Icon Graph Information. Shows a spreadsheet button on the Viscosity Graph Toolbar.

Measured values for viscosity cannot be edited directly from the graph information dialog.
