Document types

There are several different document types which allow you to achieve different tasks in Assay. When creating a new document you must select the document type. The different document types are the following:

Used for editing crude data and updating property profiles.

AssayEditor

AssaySynthesis

Used for synthesising a complete crude assay from limited measurement information.

AssaySynthesis

AssayWorkup

Used for working up raw laboratory measurements for a crude oil and its products, to a fully balanced, recuttable and graphable crude description.

AssayWorkup

AssayUpdate

Used for reflecting changes for all properties of a known crude using only a few new measurements.

AssayUpdate

ProductSynthesis

Used for synthesising end product (such as kerosene) from limited measurement information.

ProductSynthesis

BlendAnalysis

Used for determining the most likely blend of known constituent crudes, given a limited set of measurements on the blend.

BlendAnalysis

Blend

Used for blending together any number of crudes in either weight or volume ratios.
