The Select Crude dialog is used to choose crudes or assays for a number of operations in Assay. For example, you must use the Select Crude dialog to choose basis crudes and to choose crudes for report production. The dialog shows properties for each crude matching the current view and filter. It is possible to change the view and filter being used using the menu boxes at the top of the dialog. Views and filters already defined in the database are available in the dialog. After selecting the required crude click OK.

According to the specific operation you are performing, the dialog can have different titles, such as Select Crude, Select Basis Crude or Select Assay.

You can configure the columns in each view by right clicking the header and choosing Configure Views. Alternatively, click the Icon configure grid. Shows a grid with a pencil icon. The Configure Columns dialog allows you to add and remove information and property values for each crude and its cuts. See add columns to the view in Create a view.

The Filter box lists those filters and sets already defined in the Database. You can use the previously defined filters and sets to find specific crudes in the dialog. The Filter box also allows you to choose the data sets for which assays are shown in the list.See Filter crudes.
