Inspect IR files

The graph area on the IR page gives you several tools to inspect an IR spectrum. These are accessed via a context menu, opened by right clicking anywhere in the graph.

Pan

Choose Pan Mode from the context menu to pan to different areas of the spectrum graph. This is especially useful if you have used the zoom tool and are viewing just part of the whole spectrum. In pan mode, the mouse cursor changes to a hand when inside the graph. Click and drag to change the portion of graph that is shown.

Zoom

Choose Zoom Mode from the context menu to zoom in to a certain area of the graph. In zoom mode, the mouse cursor changes to a small magnifying glass when inside the graph. There are two ways you can zoom in:

• Click anywhere in the graph to centre the graph on the clicked point and increase the zoom level slightly.

• Click and drag to define a rectangular area. The zoom level adjusts to display only the area you have selected.

To reset the zoom level to the original value, choose Reset Scaling from the context menu. It is not possible to partially reduce the zoom level.
