Flowsheet cut field

You can display cut columns for products in a commercially fractionated distillation system, in addition to displaying cut columns for perfect cuts, provided that one or more commercially fractionated distillation systems have been configured within Assay. To configure an appropriate distillation system, you should use the Flowsheet Manager. See Create a flowsheet.
To configure a flowsheet cut field, you need to supply four parameters, as described below.

Property |
The property chosen using a Property Control. Use the first part of the control to choose the property from a list. Use the remaining parts of the control, if these exist, to configure additional editable parameters of the property. |

Stream |
The product for which you wish to display cut values. The Stream control includes two drop-down menus. Use the left-hand menu to choose one of the flowsheets configured using the Flowsheet Manager. Once you do so, the right-hand menu populates with all the products defined for that flowsheet. Choose the desired product. See Create a flowsheet. |

Unit |
The unit of measurement in which calculated values are reported. Any unit supported by the chosen property may be selected from the Unit combo box. For a list of commonly occurring properties and their associated units. See Units. |

The number format in which calculated values are reported. Calculated values may be shown in any one of a number of numerical formats, including a fixed number of decimal places, a fixed number of significant figures, or scientific notation.
