The Hysys interface file is a data file to allow crude oil data to be passed into Hysys, a refinery process modelling tool.
Selecting Hysys Interface File will show the report for the selected crude, which may be saved or printed as you wish.
Note: This report format is only available for one crude at a time.
This option will not be available if multiple crudes are selected in the Database.
Configuring the file format
If you choose Configure Report from the Setup menu in the window where the Hysys Interface File report is displayed, options are available for you to choose custom cuts to define the interface file, optionally including light end components C1-C5 if required.

As an example, to create a cut set which consists of the pure components C1-C5, cut points from 50°C to 600°C in 50°C intervals, followed by cut points at 700°C and 800°C:
-
Clear the current cuts by selecting the all from the left hand side and pressing the Delete key, or choosing Clear selected rows from the right-click context menu
-
Select the pure components by activating the corresponding radio button
-
Choose a Cut value of 50, a From value of 50 and an Up to value of 600, and press Add
-
Double click in the cells in the list on the left hand side below the filled values to enter the final pair of values, 700 and 800
A context menu is available in the grid allowing standard edit functionality, as well as Insert, Delete and Clear options for rows.
If at any stage you choose non-contiguous cut points (or, if you have chosen to include Pure Components from C1-C5, enter a first numerical cut point below the C5 boiling point limit of 36°C) the affected value will be marked in red in the grid, and the OK and Apply buttons will be disabled.

Any configured Hysys cut set can be save to a data file by choosing Export, or reloaded by choosing Import.
On pressing Apply, the report is instantly recomputed to correspond to the updated cut set.
