Having generated the crude, you can additionally 'fine-tune' the crude description, by editing property profiles. The primary means of editing the crude profiles is via the Profile Graphs and associated information tools.
Ensure the graph is open by clicking the lower half of the Graphs button in the Graphing group of the Home ribbon tab, and choosing Property Profile Graph from the menu. Also, make sure that the
Show on Graph icon
is active in the AssayUpdate tab in the Navigator pane. The icon is active when surrounded
by a light blue box.
Click the Module Options icon
on the graph toolbar and make sure the Show Base Crude option has a check mark next
to it.
If the Show Confidence Intervals option is also selected from the Module Options icon on the graph toolbar, the Property Profile graph will also show the confidence intervals for the updated assay. See Show confidence intervals.

The ability to edit property profiles for a crude description generated via an AssayUpdate is provided in Assay to give you complete flexibility in working up your crude assay. Note however that since AssayUpdate generates the crude description most statistically consistent with the input measurements, in practice it should almost never be necessary to modify property profiles in this

way.
