Unified Supply Chain Assay

Configure your nearness cases

The Nearness Manager allows you to create and manage nearness cases which are used to compare the similarity between assays in the database and a given reference assay. Each nearness case contains the description of the properties, cuts and weightings that are used to decide whether or not two assays are similar. See Add or edit a nearness case.

The nearness of each assay to the reference is displayed by configuring a column in the Database. See Configure a nearness column. The result is shown as a bar whose length and shading correspond to the similarity of that comparison assay in the Database to the selected reference assay. Two other nearness cases can be chosen when configuring a nearness column in the Database:

  • Overall

  • Yield.

However, these two nearness cases cannot be edited, and are not visible in the nearness manager.
