Calculate model range

The statistical model in Assay is built by analysing a large set of crude assays. During the building process a typical range of values which crude properties fall in is determined. When entering property/cut values in the Measurement Grid the typical range for assays included in the model building process is calculated and can be viewed as Model Spread using the Measurement Grid tooltip. The value can be used as a guideline as most crudes would be expected to have property values which fall in this range.
By default the Model Range is calculated automatically as values are entered in the
Measurement Grid. When background updating of the Model Range is off, you can calculate
the range of the model for all property/stream combinations in the Measurement Grid
by pressing either F7 or the Calculate Mode Range
button in the Assay group of the Home ribbon tab. Once the Model Range is up to date in a Document, the option to calculate
the range becomes inactive until the Model Range becomes out of date again (for example,
by entering a new measurement in the grid).
