After the Generate option has been chosen in the Document where the Measurement Grid is present, a crude description is produced. This is recut and the generated value is shown in the top right of each cell. This allows you to compare entered and reconstructed values at a glance.
The Generated Value is calculated by recutting the crude description for that property for the particular stream. For example the generated yield value for a cut is calculated by recutting the stream between the cut points defined for that cut.
The Generated Value is calculated using recutting based on the particular stream type, so when a stream is defined using perfect cuts the generated value is determined by recutting the crude using the perfect cut points defined for that stream. However when the stream is defined using a flowsheet the generated value is determined by recutting the crude using the effective cut points (ECPs) and fractionation indices (FIs) defined for that cut on the Streams page. See Streams page.
