You can customise the product to conform to local conventions by configuring regional settings. The following options are available :
-
Enable or disable the use of system separator symbols. By default, Assay is configured to use system separator symbols. The default separator symbols are the period symbol (.) for denoting decimal points, and the comma symbol (,) for the grouping of digits (as in 9,358). Deselecting the use of system separator symbols allows you to configure Assay to use other symbols for decimal point and digit grouping.
-
Enable or disable digit grouping. When enabled, digits to the left of the decimal point are grouped in threes, as in 16,946, with the digit grouping separator symbol used to separate the groups of digits. When disabled, digits to the left of the decimal point are ungrouped, as in 16946.
-
Enable or disable the override of the numeric keypad decimal. When enabled, pressing the numeric keypad decimal will produce the decimal point separator symbol, instead of the period symbol (.), to enable easy entry of numbers. When disabled, pressing the numeric keypad decimal produces the period symbol (.) as usual.
-
Configure the standard measurement unit for boiling point and measurement temperature, and the corresponding display formats for these units.
The Sample read-only field shows an example of how numbers will appear within the application.
