After entering all relevant data into an AssayEditor document, you can generate the crude at any time either by clicking the Generate button in the Assay group of the Home ribbon tab. See Regenerating a crude in User crudes.
Generated values are displayed in the top right corner of the configured cells in the measurement grid, allowing you to assess how close the generated crude is to the original input values.
Comparison Values

In addition to the generated value being shown in the top right of the value cells in the Measurement Grid ("Generated Values" on page 143), the bottom right of the value cells will show the Base Crude value. This enables a quick check when entering measurement data that values are sufficiently similar to the Base Crude to be consistent with the use of the AssayUpdate.
Tip: Assay displays a pre-generation summary advising you of errors and warnings in the event that there are any problems with the input data that could prevent or affect the generation. If any errors are found, then Assay requires you to cancel the generation. If only warnings are found, then you have the option either to proceed with the generation or to cancel it.
