Ribbon

Much of the functionality in Assay is accessed by using the ribbon at the top of the application window. The ribbon is separated into several tabs, and these tabs are separated into several groups. Depending on the document (for example, Database, AssayWorkup and so on) you are working on, other tabs and controls may also be present in the ribbon to offer context-sensitive options for the work being performed.

The ribbon also has an additional button, the menu button, to the left of the Home tab. This button is used to access file features for the application and gives access to user preferences and other options.

Quick Access Toolbar

The Quick Access Toolbar is a series of icons next to the to left corner of the application window. It includes the following icons, from left to right:

• Save: saves the changes to the current item. Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + S.

• Undo: reverts the last action. Supported for most action types across all Assay environments. Keyboard shortcuts: Alt + Backspace or Ctrl + Z.

• Redo: redoes the last action you have undone with the Undo button. Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Y.

You can choose whether to display the Quick Access Toolbar in the top bar of the window or below the Assay ribbon.

You can customize the Quick Access Toolbar to include frequently used Assay commands.
